These Terms govern your use of Hire Visa Holders (the “Platform”). By creating an account, posting a job, or applying for a role, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Platform.
1. Who we are
Hire Visa Holders is an Australian-operated job marketplace that connects employers with visa holders who have legal work rights in Australia — both onshore and pre-arrival. We are not a migration agency and do not provide migration advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By registering you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal right to enter into these Terms.
3. Job seekers
- You must accurately disclose your visa status and any restrictions on it.
- You must not impersonate another person or hold more than one candidate account.
- You retain ownership of the content you upload (CV, profile photos, etc.) and grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on the Platform.
4. Employers
- You must accurately describe each role, including pay, hours, and visa expectations.
- You must verify a candidate’s right to work via VEVO before employing them. Hire Visa Holders does not verify visas on your behalf.
- You must comply with the Fair Work Act, anti-discrimination law, and all other applicable Australian workplace laws.
- Posting jobs that target visa-class as a discriminatory criterion (rather than legitimate work-rights compatibility) is prohibited.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Employer subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your billing portal. We don’t offer refunds for partial periods, but you keep paid features until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Platform to:
- Post fraudulent, illegal, or misleading job ads or applications.
- Scrape, harvest, or mass-export candidate or employer data.
- Send unsolicited messages or spam through the messaging system.
- Bypass paid features (e.g., extracting contact details from public pages and contacting candidates outside the Platform without their consent).
7. Content moderation
We may remove content, suspend accounts, or refuse service at our discretion if we believe these Terms have been breached. Where possible we’ll explain why.
8. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee that listings are accurate, that candidates will be hired, or that employers are reputable. You are responsible for your own due diligence — including verifying right-to-work and confirming employment terms in writing.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by Australian law, our total liability arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the fees you’ve paid us in the prior 12 months.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. We’ll notify you of material changes by email or platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
